One thing I cannot be grateful for is my run streak, because it's over early. The Runner's World run streak is from Thanksgiving to New Years but unfortunately, two days before Christmas is was over for me thanks to one of the worst migraines I've ever had. At first I wasn't going to let the migraine win and I ran my 1 mile for the day on the treadmill very very slowly. Then came the nausea and increasing pain, and then I was vomiting half the night (I'll probably never be able to eat spaghetti again). Of course Urgent Care had just closed and the on-call doctor was giving us the run around (seriously, I had to ride all around town in the car with a migraine, it's like she wanted to torture me) before finally sending in a prescription for some anti-nausea/vomiting meds.

At least I was able to get some decent runs in this weekend though (including running some other trails at the Panama City Beach Conservation Park) and only ended up being 3.4 miles under my weekly mileage goal. Now I just have a few easy runs this week before my first trail half marathon on Sunday. The race is a local one, the Swamp Forest marathon, half, and 6.5 mile. I've ran these trails before so I know how challenging they can be and my time expectations are pretty low, I just hope the weather is more accommodating than it has been this week.
How has your run streak been going? Still hanging in there? Any races coming up?
Wow hope you're doing better, hydrate, recover and refuel. Take it easy and finish your half in a comfortable time. Best wishes and God bless.
