Friday Five: Things About My Knee

1. It hurts. It pops when I straighten it.

2. I think it's a simple overuse/too much too soon injury. I went from about 18 miles a week to 30+ in a very short amount of time. I don't even want to call it an injury as it's totally tolerable.

3. I can run without much pain, it's after long runs that it hurts. I actually ice both knees afterwards.

4. I taped it yesterday and ran 8 miles with virtually no pain. I should have taped both knees though. Tape is awesome. I used this video to see how to tape it. I used this pre-cut tape. I got it at my local running store.



5. I'm not too worried about it. I have exactly one month until my full marathon. I only have one more really long run (23-24 miles). As long as I don't push myself, I know I can make it through the 26.2 then give it a good rest.
